1. The “frantic search” to find Inaki Bascaran continued Tuesday. The 23 year old from Wrigleyville has been missing since Saturday night, where friends last saw him at bar Celeste on West Hubbard Street. (CBS2)
2. Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced Monday his $250 million plan to combat gun violence in the state. His “unprecedented” executive order officially declared gun violence a public health crisis. (Patch)
3. An Illinois lawmaker is calling attention to the lack of violence prevention funds on Chicago’s North Side. State Rep. Jaime Andrade cited multiple gang-related shootings in Albany Park and Lakeview, including an Oct. 4 shooting outside Lakeview High School. (CBS2)
4. Two thieves who have been raiding Chicago drugstores and stealing cigarettes were caught on camera at a North Side Walgreens. They were reported for theft in Lincoln Square, River North and more before Chicago police issued a security warning to neighboring Walgreens stores. (CWB)
5. The Blackhawks won their first game of the season Tuesday, amid continued fallout from the investigation into 2010 sexual assault allegations against a former coach. The organization was fined $2 million by the NHL for its handling of the allegations 11 years ago, with Commissioner Gary Bettman calling it “wrong on every level.” (Patch)
