Garbage Pickup Delayed After Heavy Snowfall
Citywide garbage pickup is delayed one or two days after Tuesday's heavy snowfall.

Trashcans around Chicago may start overflowing this week thanks to Tuesday’s big snowstorm.
The National Weather Service says the city snagged between 7 and 10 inches of the fluffy white stuff, with parts of Cook County even getting upwards of a foot of snow. And according to Ald. Scott Waguespack (32nd), the storm will affect garbage pickup citywide.
“Due to the snow storm, regular garbage pick up city wide will be delayed one to two days,” the North Side alderman announced in his newsletter. “All garbage trucks are being rerouted for snow duty.”
