1. A carjacking was reported Tuesday night in the 3000 block of North Halsted Street, Chicago police said. FOX reports the driver was pulled out of his vehicle by two attackers who then fled in the car. No one is in custody. (FOX)

Uptown neighbors hope the new owners of Weiss Hospital will reconsider plans to convert a hospital parking lot to a luxury condo building. “You have got to understand how much bitterness there is over the destruction of affordable housing in this community,” neighbor Paul Siegel told Block Club.
