1. COVID-related hospitalizations have increased by 30 percent over the past seven days, according to the Chicago Department of Public Health. Hospitals are seeing an average of 25 new hospitalizations per day from COVID-19 in the city. (NBC5)
2. The Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial continues to make headlines, with the defense calling its final witness this week. The Antioch teen killed two men and injured another with a semi-automatic rifle during racial injustice protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin last summer. (NBC5)
3. A zero-waste grocery store will open soon in Logan Square. Tinyshop owner Christine Sorich plans to open a brick-and-mortar location on Armitage Avenue within the next few months, emphasizing locally-sourced goods. (Block Club)
4. The U.S. is now open to international travelers, with several arriving at O'Hare this week after a 20-month ban. But a 55 percent increase in European COVID cases has officials from the World Health Organization examining travel restrictions once again, according to an ABC report. (ABC7)
