1. Three people were shot Sunday morning on the Northwest Side, Chicago police said. All were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair condition. (WGN)

2. A Lake View High School graduate is working to help veterans with suicide prevention. Air Force veteran Tom Strossner is helping members of American Legion Post 36 after a friend took his own life last year. “You are a family, no matter what era you served in,” Strossner said.
