Local Diner Plans Month-Long Celebration for Anniversary
The Chicago Diner is celebrating its 30 year anniversary with 30 days of giveaways. Check out the meat-free restaurant and potentially win a new TV.

Chicago may have been the "hog butcher to the world," but that didn’t deter a pair of optimistic vegetarians from opening a meat-free restaurant in 1983.
Thirty years and a new second location later, ‘the little diner that could’ shares the love and the might of meat-free dining with the Second City.
The Chicago Diner marks the anniversary times two, with 30 days of giveaways at both the original 3411 N. Halsted St. location in Boystown and the new Logan Square spot at 2333 N. Milwaukee Ave.

The Diner also commemorates the occasion by bringing back some classic menu items including the Philly Stæk & Dagwood Hoagie.
