Many Lake View Restaurants Are Open for Thanksgiving

Don't want to spend all day cooking up a Thanksgiving meal this year? Take a break from the kitchen and let one of these Lake View restaurants do the work for you.

• Esencia Urban Kitchen: For $16.95 per person, Esencia is serving up all of your Thanksgiving favorites — the menu includes turkey with stuffing, homemade biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, hot vegetable or side salad, cranberry sauce, corn-on-the-cob and your choice of pumpkin cheesecake or apple pie. 
  
• Wilde Bar and Lady Gregory's: The two restaurants will both be serving up a four-course prix fixe menu for $38. The menu is the same at both restaurants and features spins on classic Thanksgiving dishes, such as Bronzed Scottish Salmon with Maple Reduction and Horseradish-Encrusted New York Strip Steak in addition to turkey. 
  
• Bomay Bliss: This restaurant will serve up an Indian take on classic foods — like baked turkey served Indian Style and Sweet Potato Mousse. The prix fixe menu is $24.95. 
  
• Select Cut Steakhouse: This steakhouse will be serving its regular menu, in addition to turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pie. 
  
• Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread and Wine: This Lake View hotspot will be open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. so you can pick up last minute additions to your meal. 
• Jack's on Halsted: This Halsted hot spot is offering a four course dinner from 1 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. with five choices for your main dish (including turkey). There's also six appetizers to choose from, three salad choices and several homemade desserts. Reservations can be made at Jack's or on OpenTable, and dinner is $49 per person before tax and gratuity. 
  
• Southport and Irving: For $22.50, you can get an oven roasted turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, cranberry tangelo compote, sweet potato and dutch apple smash, mashed potatoes, gravy, string bean casserole, a mixed green salad, fresh fruit and homemmade pumpkin pie and apple pie. 
  
• Ann Sather: All four of the Lake View locations will be open at 7 a.m., with closing times varied (check out the full schedule here). All restaurants will serve chicken vegetable soup, roast turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes and giblet gravy, fresh seasonal vegetables, cranberry sauce, assorted homemade breads and homemade apple or pumpkin pie with whipped cream. It's $19.95 for adults and $10.95 for children. 
  
• Golden Apple Restaurant: A full menu of Golden Apple's Thanksgiving menu isn't available, but you can check out this 24-hour diner's menu here.
• Kanela Breakfast Club: Shake up your Thanksgiving menu with Kanela's Thanksgiving brunch — featuring $18 bottomless mimosas. Seasonal specials include pumpkin caramel waffles, and pumpkin lattes with dark rum, Kahlua and Baileys.  The brunch hotspot's two locations — in Lake View and Old Town — both open at 7:30 a.m.
  
• Starbucks: Several Starbucks locations are open throughout the day, including the one at 3184 N. Clark St. and 1000 W. Diversey. 
• Mi Tierra Mexicana: Craving Mexican food for Thanksgiving? Luckily Mi Tierra Mexicana is open. 
  
• Konak Pizza and Grill: Konak's is open for Thanksgiving, although no specific menu for the holiday is listed on its website. 
  
• Select Cut Steakhouse: This popular steakhouse will be serving up a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, as well as a regular menu. 
  
• Deleece Restaurant: For $39 per person, this Southport hotspot is serving up your choice of Amish turkey, striped bass, herb crusted beef and vegetable risotta with family-style sides. 
  
• ARTango South American Bistro: ARTango is serving up a seasonal three-course Thanksgiving Day and Evening prix fixe menu for $39 per adult and $17 for children. It's BYOB. The menu is enormous, but highlights include an assortment of empanadas, Argentine style New York strip steak and mango flan. The full menu is available here.
• Bulerias: This tapas restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
