1. A missing East Lakeview woman has been safely located, CBS reports. The brother of 29-year-old Katherine “Katy” Schillinger confirmed via Facebook that she was found Thursday. She had been missing since Monday morning. (CBS)
2. The state set a record for the most COVID-19 hospitalizations ever recorded Thursday. The Illinois Department of Public Health confirmed 7,380 people were hospitalized with the virus. More than 1,177 are in intensive care, the highest number of ICU patients since December 2020. (NBC)
3.Illinois lawmakers are debating how to combat the statewide spike in crime in neighborhoods like Lakeview, where carjackings and armed robberies are at an all-time high. Speaker of the House Chris Welch told the Tribune that reducing crime is “high on our priority list” in Springfield this session. (Paid source: Tribune)
