1. Lakeview will wake up to additional snow today after more than seven inches fell yesterday. Continuous snowfall is expected through the afternoon across Illinois, according to the National Weather Service. (CBS)

2. Chicago is making "very, very good" progress against the omicron surge, Dr. Allison Arwady said this week. The Chicago Department of Public Health reports about 1,000 cases per day, down from 10,000 on average at the variant’s peak. (Block Club)
3. Lakeview restaurant Dear Margaret was referenced in the city’s lawsuit against Grubhub. Owner Lacey Irby told Eater the third-party delivery site was using old menus and including restaurants on its site without consent. (Eater)
4. Another lawsuit was filed against the Center for COVID Control, which is accused of creating “sham” testing sites, delaying test results or disposing of specimens. Lakeview Jacob Bennett told Block Club he still hasn’t received results from a Dec. 21 test. (Block Club)
