1. Chicago’s overnight winter parking ban goes into effect today. The ban prohibits parking on certain streets between 3-7 a.m. from Dec. 1 through Apr. 1. (Block Club)

2. Today is the deadline for Chicago City Council members to approve a new ward map reflecting 2020 census data. Unless 41 of 50 aldermen agree, voters will choose the ward boundaries in a special election in June. (WGN)

3. The Osundairo brothers were tracked back to the Lakeview neighborhood the night of the alleged attack against actor Jesse Smollett in early 2019, according to the first week of his disorderly conduct trial. They were later arrested on suspicion of their involvement in the attack, which law enforcement officials say was staged by Smollett. (Paid source: Tribune)

4. A new University of Chicago study shows disparities in the distribution of vaccines in the city. North Side neighborhoods, including Lakeview and Logan Square, received the most doses of vaccine in 2021, while West Englewood and Auburn Gresham initially received less shipments, according to new research.
