Here are the top stories in Lakeview today:

1. A CTA bus driver was stabbed Saturday by a pick-pocketer in Lincoln Park. The driver saw a man attempting to pickpocket a fellow passenger and approached, which led to the stabbing. The thief has been arrested and the driver is in good condition. (NBC)

2. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking on Thanksgiving Day in Wrigleyville. The incident occurred at the garage on the 1000 block of West Addison Street, where another shooting occurred in late October. (ABC)

3. West Lakeview residents are fighting to save the neighborhood’s trees, which could be cut down in the coming months for water pipe replacement. Neighbors say they are concerned about the city’s plans to cut down about 20 trees on a two-block stretch of Paulina Street. (CBS)

4. Rebuilt Red Line tracks are being installed in Edgewater this month. Crews are using a 285-foot crane to make the improvements at Ardmore Avenue as part of the CTA’s Red-Purple Modernization Project which is expected to last through 2024. (Block Club)
