Pearl Jam Website Accidentally Leaks Wrigley Field Shows

The listing, which has been pulled down, included two Chicago concerts in August at the Friendly Confines.

CHICAGO, IL — An accidental leak on Pearl Jam's website Friday revealed possible dates and venues for some of the shows on the group's North American tour this year, according to music news website Alternative Nation. Surprising no one, concerts set for Chicago in August were included in the listings, which have since been pulled down.

According to the posting, Pearl Jam will play two shows Aug. 18 and 20 at Wrigley Field, the report stated. Other 2018 concerts also included in the leak were shows at sports stadiums in Boston and Missoula, Montana, the report added. Two Seattle concerts Aug. 8 and 10 at Safeco Field appear in a section called "The Home Shows" on the band's website, but the shows are not among the dates listed on the site's tour page.

Possible Wrigley Field concert dates seem like a given for the band, especially if ballpark venues will be the tour's focus, as Alternative Nation alluded. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, fresh off a musical guest spot on "Twin Peaks: The Return" and set to play two March solo shows in Brazil, is from Evanston and a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. The group played two shows at the Friendly Confines in 2016, and those concerts were the basis for the band's "Let's Play Two" documentary, which was released last year.
