1. Neighbors say they are “alarmed” about the recent string of armed robberies in Lakeview. Chicago police are increasing bike patrols along Southport to monitor traffic and catch vehicles fleeing crimes. At least nine incidents of armed robbery have occurred in the past two weeks. (CBS2)

2. West Lakeview residents are fighting to save two dozen trees slated to be cut down to replace a water main. More than 20 trees on Paulina Street between Belmont Avenue and Roscoe Street are subject to removal, with neighbors concerned about how it will affect the neighborhood’s aesthetic and property values. 3. Several signs in the neighborhood are being taken down because the word “Wrigleyville” is misspelled. The Chamber of Commerce signs promoting holiday shopping spelled it “Wrigelyville.” (CBS)

4. NICZA owner Tania Mackey will teach a free sewing class today at her Lakeview shop. Students will make wool mittens to donate to By the Hand Club. NICZA is also collecting old sweaters to repurpose for people in need. (CBS2)

5. Eater has compiled a running list of Chicago restaurants and bars which require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter. Lakeview’s list includes Annoyance Theatre & Bar, Bonus Round Game Cafe, Drew’s On Halsted and Beermiscuous. (Eater)
