Eliminate Hunger Social: The Young Leaders Board is hosting a Eliminate Hunger Social to help support the Lakeview Pantry. The gala, which is $45 in advance or $55 at the door, includes a raffle and silent auction – with plenty of fantastic prizes.
Reeling Film Festival: The Reeling Film Festival, Chicago's International LGBT Film Festival, is running all weekend at the Music Box Theatre. A full schedule is available here.
Wendt Playlot Dedication: The revamped Wendt Playlot will be dedicated this Sat. at 1:30 p.m. Come see what your neighbors have been up to — and be among the first to climb on the new equipment while you're at it!
BeerHoptacular: Beer lovers, break out your bus passes and venture out of Lake View for BeerHoptacular, where $45+ gets you access to sample over 150 different beers and ciders, along with plenty of snacks. This year's BeerHoptacular will also feature art from Pilsen-based artists and derby cars built from beer cans and bottles. The event, at 2150 S. Canalport Ave., runs Friday and Saturday.
