1. The sidewalk was widened this week on part of Cornelia Avenue near Clark Street. Chicago Department of Transportation crews removed diagonal parking spaces to “enhance the pedestrian experience along Clark Street,” according to Ald. Tom Tunney’s office. (Block Club)

2. Dr. Allison Arwady said the increase of COVID-19 cases in Chicago “remains in good control.” The city is averaging 66 more daily cases this week, but the health department is reporting less than one death per week from the virus. (FOX)

3. Crime concerns continue on the CTA despite the transit authority stepping up security measures. Two violent attacks were reported at different Red Line stations earlier this week. (NBC)
