1. A man was stabbed on a CTA Red Line train Tuesday morning, CBS reports. Police said the stabbing at the Chicago Avenue station stemmed from an argument between passengers. (CBS)

2. Metra and CTA added extra security to trains Tuesday after a gunman opened fire on a Brooklyn subway. "We stand with the people of New York City following this despicable act of violence," CPD said in a statement. (NBC)

3. A woman died Tuesday during a fire at her Lincoln Park home, the fire department reported. The cause of the fire at 2322 N. Commonwealth Ave. was determined to be “unattended cooking.” (NBC)

4. Cubs pitcher Keegan Thompson was suspended three games for throwing at Brewers outfielder Andrew McCutchen during Monday’s game. Manager David Ross was also suspended one game. Both were fined. (ESPN)
