1. For the second weekend in a row, three armed robberies occurred within 30 minutes in Lakeview. A woman was assaulted in the 600 block of West Melrose late Friday night. The other robberies occurred on West Barry and West Wrightwood early Saturday morning. (CBS)
2. The Chicago Police Department is adding patrols near Millennium Park after last weekend’s “chaos” on Michigan Avenue. “Chicago belongs to all of us, but if you come downtown or anywhere else to engage in disorderly conduct or other crimes, you will be arrested,” Police Supt. 3. Carjackings in Cook County are up more than 40 percent from last year, according to the County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Tom Dart is seeking help from automobile manufacturers to help with real-time tracking improvements. (Patch)
