1. An Uptown man has been sentenced for a September altercation with 46th Ward Alderman James Cappleman on North Racine. Tony Landers is expected to serve 250 days for threatening the alderman in the 4700 block of North Racine. He was also sentenced for battery after attacking a senior citizen in a separate incident. 2. Mass vaccine sites will reopen this week in Cook County due to the omicron surge. “Physicians’ offices and pharmacies are not staffed to accommodate the significant demand for COVID vaccinations,” Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle said Friday. 3. Less than a third of Chicago residents feel safe in their neighborhoods, according to a new poll. The Chicago Index survey found a 20 percent drop in resident’s feelings of safety in the city, down from 45 percent in last year’s poll. (Block Club)
