22nd Annual Heritage Fest Set for Saturday
The one-day street fair runs from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in downtown Lemont.

Lemont’s 22st annual will make it’s way into Lemont this weekend with a mix of old and new activities.
As has been the norm, the one-day street fair, which runs from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday in downtown , will feature music, food, the Salt Creek Model-A Ford Car Show, and pony rides.
Heritage Fest will kick off at 1 p.m. with the "Kids Stars and Stripes" decorated bike parade. Kids should line up with their bikes at 12:30 p.m. at , 111 Main St. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorations.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., kids can enjoy an array of fun activities, from pony rides and rock climbing to water slides and face painting. There will also be a dunk tank, old-time photos and an opportunity to "smash the car."

New to the festival this year is a zip line for kids, as well as a trackless train.
Over at the Main Stage, a number of talented musical acts will be playing from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Highlights include Lemont teen Conor Matthews, , and cover band '80s Enough.

At 3:30 p.m. a representative from will take the stage for a quick lesson in Zumba, a Colombian dance/fitness program.
Heritage Fest will also feature a craft and vendor market from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Talcott Square, 435 Talcott Ave.
