3 Lemont High School Student-Athletes Announce College Decisions
Football players Tyler Wilms and Giovanni Roncone will play at Murray State and Augustana and Will Harris will play soccer at Carroll.

LEMONT, IL — Three Lemont High School athletes have announced their college decisions and will continue their playing careers at the next level, the school announced on Thursday.
Senior soccer player Will Harris has announced he will attend Carroll University in the fall while football players Giovanni Roncone and Tyler Wilms will attend Augustana College and Murray State University, respectively.
Harris signed with Carroll, which is a Division III school in Waukesha, Wisc. After he finished his four-year varsity career with 11 goals and six assists in 53 games, the school said in a news release. He finished his senior season with nine goals and two assists while the forward earned all-conference honors.

Lemont finished with 39 victories, three IHSA regional championships, and one conference title in Harris’ four seasons.
Roncone was a two-year varsity starter at safety and was an all-conference selection after he posted a career-high 36 tackles (12 solo). Roncone also led the Lemont with two forced fumbles while he also had an interception and two pass break-ups.

An honor roll student, Roncone will play at Augustana, a Division III school in Rock Island that finished 5-5 last season.
Wilms heads off to Division I Murray State after starting for three years on the defensive line while also seeing time on the offensive line and at fullback. He was a two-time All-Conference player who made 88 tackles (30 solo), including 23 tackles for loss during his three-year varsity career.
The first-team All-State honoree played in the 2022 Blue-Grey All-Star game and captained a Lemont squad that finished 11-1 and advanced to the IHSA Class 6-A quarterfinals.
An honor student and member of the National Honor Society, Wilms also wrestled for three seasons and was a member of Lemont’s 2020 2-A team duals state championship team. He also qualified for the IHSA individual state tournament as a senior.
