Will Quam is coming to LAHS! Join us for a fascinating look at Chicago brick—its history, craftsmanship, and lasting influence on the city we know today.

Will is the creator of Brick of Chicago @brickofchicago, an ongoing effort dedicated to documenting, researching, and preserving Chicago’s rich brick heritage. Through photography, historical research, and on-site exploration, Will shares the stories behind Chicago’s brickyards, distinctive brick patterns, and the skilled labor that shaped the city’s architectural landscape. His work highlights how local materials, industry, and craftsmanship influenced neighborhoods across the region, including the Lemont area, and continues to educate and inspire history and architecture enthusiasts.
