Cardinal Cupich Visits St. Alphonsus, St. Patrick School In Lemont

Cardinal Cupich paid a visit to Lemont during Catholic Schools Week.

LEMONT, IL – During the recent celebration of Catholic Schools Week, Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, paid a visit to Lemont's St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School.

According to a release from the Archdiocese, Catholic Schools Week was marked by a series of inspiring events across the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Cardinal Cupich visited Lemont, as well as St. Hilary School in Chicago; Marist High School in Chicago; Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights; and St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago.

“Catholic Schools Week is a reminder of the vital role Catholic education plays in forming the hearts and minds of our students," Cupich said in a release. "These events not only celebrate the individuality of our schools but also strengthen the bonds that tie us together as a community of faith. I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of all those who make Catholic education possible.”
