D113A Superintendent Takes New Position In Steger

Superintendent Anthony McConnell will begin a new position in April.

LEMONT, IL — District 113A Superintendent Anthony McConnell will be leaving the district in April for a position as superintendent of Steger School District 194, according to a release from the school District.

The District said it has experienced significant achievements during McConnell's tenure. McConnell has served as superintendent for the past four years, and has helped to pass a referendum, reopen Central School and implement full-day kindergarten.

Damon Ascolani, President of the Board of Education, expressed gratitude for McConnell's
contributions.

"We extend our appreciation to Dr. McConnell for his leadership and commitment to the success of our students these past four years," Ascolani said in a release. "District 113A has achieved several milestones and has continued to be an example of educational excellence during his tenure."
