Date Changed For Lemont's Ice And Lights Fest

The fest, originally planned for Saturday, will be held on Sunday in hopes of slightly warmer temperatures.

LEMONT, IL — Area residents and families planning to head out to Lemont's Ice and Lights Fest this week should note that the event has been moved to Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m.

The fest was originally planned for Saturday, but has been moved to Sunday due to the cold temperatures expected, according to the Village.

The fest features a live demonstration from professional ice carver Nate Johnson of Johnson Studios Ice Sculptures, two live reindeer, marshmallow roasting, hay wagon rides and character visits. The Creamery truck will also be giving away 500 free hot chocolates, courtesy of the Village.

22 business-sponsored ice carvings will also be on display around downtown Lemont.
