LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Police Department made a series of arrests in recent weeks involving a variety of criminal charges including driving under the influence of alcohol, battery, drug possession and various traffic violations.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Michelle Bereta-Gudino, 49, Berwyn, was arrested at 7:19 a.m. on March 21 and charged with driving while her licenses was suspended or revoked following a traffic stop at Lockport Street and New Aveue. Bereta-Gudino was issued a May 5 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Anna C. Sloan, 41, Lemont, was arrested at 7:57 a.m. on March 21 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and speeding (15-20 MPH Over Limit) following a traffic stop at 127th Street and Amber Drive. Sloan was issued a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Timothy P. Koonce, 19, Downers Grove, was arrested at 9:20 a.m. on March 21 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Koonce was issued a May 5 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Shannon M. Riley, 29, Joliet, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. on March 21 and charged with driving while license suspended/revoked, no seat belt and violation of the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act following a traffic stop at New Avenue and 127th Street. Riley was issued a April 15 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Antonio M. Cortes, 57, Lemont, was arrested at 6:41 a.m. on March 22 and charged with driving without a valid license (expired more than one year) and improper turn at an intersection following an incident at Main Street and Illinois Street. Cortes was issued a May 15 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Devin T. Handy, 22, Joliet, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. on March 22 and charged with driving while license suspended/revoked and no insurance following a traffic stop at 135th Street and Archer Avenue. Handy was issued a April 15 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Andre Jones, 30, Blue Island, was arrested at 10:35 a.m. on March 23 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration following a traffic stop at Archer Avenue and 127th Street. Jones was issued a May 5th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Abel Cabral, 37, Lemont, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. on March 24 and charged with Battery following an incident at in the 14000 block McCarthy Road. Cabral was issued a May 5th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Akai Moloaitiev, 24, Schaumburg, was arrested at 10:01 a.m. on March 25 and charged with speeding (26-34 MPH Over Limit)following a traffic stop in the 17400 Block of 127th St. Moloaitiev was issued a April 15 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Janae A. Lee, 24, Joliet, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. on March 25 and charged driving while license suspended or revoked, operating a motor vehicle With suspended registration and No Insurance following a traffic stop in the 15800 Block of New Avenue. Lee was issued a May 5 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Devonta S. Jackson, 26, Chicago, was arrested at 7:46 p.m. on March 26 and charged with
driving while license suspended or revoked and speeding (15-20 MPH Over Limit) following a traffic stop in the 11600 Block of Lemont Road. Jackson was issued a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Daniel Zubik, 34, Lemont, was arrested at 1:17 p.m. on March 27 and charged with assault following an incident at State Street and Illinois Street. Zubik was issued a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Miguel Sanchez, 39, Joliet, was arrested at 3:13 p.m. on March 29 and charged with leaving the scene of a vehicle damage accident and driving with no insurance following an incident that occurred on Feb. 11 at Archer Avenue and Derby Road. Sanchez was issued a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Sharon L. Moriarty, 59, Lockport, was arrested at 7:52 a.m. on March 30 and charged with driving while license suspended/revoked following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Brown Drive. Moriarty was issued a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Robert Ortiz, 27, Cicero, was arrested at 4:22 a.m. on March 31 and charged with Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol), improper lane usage, no insurance, no headlights and possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at 127th Street and Walter Street. Ortiz was issued a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Andrew L. Wolf, 42, Joliet, was arrested at 1 p.m. on March 31 and charged with resisting/obstructing a peace officer following an incident that occurred on June 4, 2019 in the 16400 Block of New Avenue. Wolf was transported to the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Carlos Velazquez-Gonzalez, 19, Woodridge, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. on March 31 and charged with driving without a valid license (Never Issued), No Insurance and Expired Registration following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Velazquez-Gonzalez was issued a May 5 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
