The Lemont Police Department made a series of recent arrests involving local residents who were charged with a variety of criminal offenses.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Police Department made a series of arrests over the past week and charged local residents with a variety of criminal offenses.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Mikayla N. McCaffery, 19, Lemont, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. on April 30 and issued a local ordinance citation for violation of the cannabis regulation and tax act following an incident in the 400 Block of McCarthy Road. McCaffrey will appear in the local court.

Selvin D. Sanchez-Zavala, 31, Blue Island, was arrested at 7:44 a.m. on May 2 and charged with driving without a valid License (never issued) and Disobeying a No Passing Zone following a traffic stop at Main Street and Wheeler Drive. Sanchez-Zavala was issued a June 16th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Jose M. Hernandez, 35, Greenwood, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. on May 2 and was charged with driving overweight on registration following a traffic stop at Lockport Street New Avenue. Hernandez was issued a June 14th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Lakisha L. Adams, 34, Posen, was arrested at 3:12 p.m. on May 2 and charged with driving with a suspended registration following a traffic stop in the 17400 Block of 127th Street. Adams was issued a May 20th court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Elijah R. Quinones, 19, Romeoville, was arrested at 10:04 p.m. on May 2 and charged with speeding (26-34 MPH over the limit) following a traffic stop in the 11600 Block of Lemont Road. Quinones was issued a June 16th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Charles W. Black, 34, Darien, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. on May 2 and charged with Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol), illegal transportation of alcohol, Speeding (15-20 MPH over the speed limit), and driving with and with no insurance following a traffic stop at State Street and Norton Avenue. Black was issued a June 16th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Shafiq K. Said, 28, Palos Hills, was arrested at 4:48 p.m. on May 3 and charged with driving while his license was suspended or revoked and speeding (11-14 MPH Over Limit) following a traffic stop at 127th and Amber Drive. Said was issued a June 14th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Trevor J. Hahn, 37, Northlake, was arrested on May 4 and issued a local ordinance citation for leaving the scene of a vehicle damage accident following an incident that occurred on April 6 at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Hahn will appear in the local court.

Mark R. McGuire, 32, Lemont, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. on May 4 and charged with driving while his license was suspended or revoked and for driving with no Insurance following a traffic stop at 127th Street and High Road. McGuire was issued a May 20th court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Lukasz Kacprzak, 31, Chicago Ridge, was arrested at 4:36 p.m. on May 5 and charged with driving while his license was suspended or revoked, disobeying a stop sign, and driving with no insurance following a traffic stop at Cass Street and Lemont Road. Kacprzak was issued a June 14th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Joenglish L. Lewis, 35, Broadview, was arrested at 9:46 a.m. on May 6 and charged with driving while his license was suspended or revoked and with driving with no insurance following a traffic stop at Archer Avenue and 135th Street. Lewis was issued a June 17th court date at the Will County Courthouse.
