LEMONT, IL — Join the Lemont Area Historical Society on Saturday for its I&M Canal Lemont Quarries tour. The walking tour will begin at 10 a.m., stepping off from the first parking area as you enter the I&M Canal/Lemont Heritage Quarries parking lot.
According to event organizers, the tour will show historical landmarks and the history behind them. The walking tour will end at noon.
It is $10 per adult, $7 for seniors, and $5 for children.

The tour is about 3/4 mile, and is on a crushed gravel trail along the canal and quarries.
