Girls Soccer: Lemont Heads to Sectional Final with Win over Joliet Catholic
The Indians defeated Joliet Catholic 3-1 on Wednesday to advance to the Lincoln-Way West Class 2A sectional championship.

The Lemont High School girls soccer team is headed to the Class 2A Lincoln-Way West Sectional championship after defeating Joliet Catholic 3-1 on Wednesday.
The top-seeded Indians (19-3-2) will take on Marian Catholic at 11 a.m. Saturday.
During Wednesday's game, junior Kim Jerantowski led Lemont with two goals. Leading scorer Alek Mihailovic also netted a goal in the first half.

Should Lemont win Saturday, the team will head to the Normal Super-Sectional, where they will face either Charleston or Normal on Tuesday for a shot at making the IHSA state finals.
