Jewelry, Cash Among Items Stolen in Equestrian Estates Burglary
The Cook County Sheriff's Police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred Friday, Dec. 3 in unincorporated Lemont.

Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and cash were among several items stolen Friday in a residential burglary in the Equestrian Estates subdivision in unincorporated Lemont.
The burglary occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at 25 Horseshoe Lane, according to a report from the Cook County Sheriff's Police.
An unknown offender gained forcible entry to the house through a sliding door in the back, police said. The following items were reported stolen:

- $4,000 in cash ($100 denominations)
- Matthews Outback bow and arrow
- Diamond earrings
- Diamond bracelet
- Movado men's watch (silver band and black face with diamond at the 12 position)
- Tag Heuer Searacer men's watch (white face with silver band)
- Apple iPhone 3G (black)
- Miscellaneous jewelry from Tiffany's
- Costume jewelry
All visible electronic items -- including a laptop and multiple television sets -- were left untouched, police said.
According to the report, a neighbor told police that she observed a dark, possibly green, SUV parked inside the garage around the time of the incident.
