Lemont Farmers Market Kicks Off Summer Season Tuesday

The 2013 market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning June 4, in the Talcott Square parking lot at Stephen and Talcott streets.

The Lemont Farmers Market will kick off its 2013 season Tuesday in downtown Lemont.

Beginning June 4, the Farmers Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday in the Talcott Square parking lot at Stephen and Talcott streets. At least 13 vendors are expected to participate in the market, which runs through Oct. 29.

Paw Paw River Farm: Red raspberries, sweet cherries, black raspberries, blackberries, tart cherries (for pies), peaches, pears, Asian pears, apples, plums, grapes, honey, maple syrup, cider, blueberries, nectarines, and apple butter

Windy Hill Farms Gourmet Beef: Local family farm selling hormone and antibiotic free beef.  All meat is Government inspected, USDA. Steers are corn fed and are 18 to 24 months of age.  All beef is steakhouse quality, used and recommended by the Illinois Institute of Culinary Art in Chicago.

Jamlady: Beverly Alfeld, better known as "the Jamlady," will offer a variety of james, jellies and butters made from fresh, organic fruits and vegetables

Parmesans Wood Stone Pizza: Pizza by the slice; cheesy bread (mozzarella baked inside), pop, fresh baked sausage sandwich, garlic rolls, dinner rolls, bagels, flat-bread, sour dough, crumb cake, cinnamon buns
