Lemont High School Alumni Hall Of Fame To Induct Eric Michaelsen
The newest inductee, Eric Michaelsen '81, will be recognized at the school's annual Lemont Bands Dinner Dance in March.
LEMONT, IL — On March 8, Lemont High School will welcome its ninth Alumni Hall of Fame class. The newest inductee, Eric Michaelsen ‘81, will be recognized at the school’s annual Lemont Bands Dinner Dance, which will be held at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, according to a release from LHS.
The Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes graduates who have made significant contributions to society and serve as role models to Lemont High School students, the school said. This recognition is the highest honor that can be given by Lemont High School to one of its alumni. The Alumni Hall of Fame helps foster school and community pride by recognizing the achievements of those individuals who have made Lemont High School an outstanding academic institution.
The 35th Annual Lemont Bands Dinner Dance will feature the music of the school’s jazz band, and will run from 6-11:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. The Alumni Hall of Fame induction will be at approximately 7:45 p.m.

The school said reservations for the Annual Lemont Bands Dinner Dance are $75 per person (ages 13 and older), and include dinner, dancing and a cash bar. Children ages 2-12 are $45 each. The deadline for dinner reservations is Friday, February 28. Attendees can register and pay online by visiting www.lemontband.org. Those who do not wish to register and pay online may contact Renee Foy at (708) 705-4557.
All Alumni Hall of Fame honorees must be of good character, reflecting the qualities and ideals set forth by Lemont High School. Nominees are eligible for induction to the Lemont High School Alumni Hall of Fame 10 years after their graduation from the school, according to a release.

Honorees are graduates who have achieved a high degree of success in their respective professional fields, committed a significant act of bravery or heroism, or dedicated their lives to community service. Honorees serve as role models for current students by demonstrating high ethical and moral standards - both as a student and an alumnus.
The Alumni Hall of Fame was spearheaded by the Lemont High School Alumni Association, which aims to foster a lifelong connection among alumni and to enhance the bond with their alma mater. The Alumni Hall of Fame is independent of the Lemont High School Athletic Hall of Fame, which was established in 2004. If they meet the selection criteria, Athletic Hall of Fame honorees are eligible for inclusion in the Alumni Hall of Fame as well, the school said.
Previous Alumni Hall of Fame inductees have included Joe Forzley ‘45, Patricia (Dalman) Knight ‘64 and Al Meyer ‘67 in 2015; Leo Cattoni ‘69, Terry Duffy ‘73 and Dr. Sam Forzley ‘77 in 2016; Al Albrecht ‘59, Mary Lou Carlson ‘71 and Norma (Landgren) Johnson ‘38 in 2017; Kenneth Novak ‘69, George Rimbo ‘87 and Dr. Donald Weber ‘59 in 2018; Victoria (West) Cobbett ‘69 and James Driscoll ‘74 in 2019; Dr. Glenn Groselak ‘74 and Abraham “Red” Ordman ‘43 in 2020; Ed Kulzer ‘95, Tracy Kulzer ‘93, E. Marvin Ludwig ‘45 and Christopher Wheatley ‘97 in 2023; and Pamela (Welan) Driscoll ‘74 and Dr. Sarah Smierciak ‘07 in 2024.
