LEMONT, IL — A Lemont High School bowler recently earned his second career medal at the IHSA Boys' Bowling state finals. Senior Trevor Anifer placed fourth in the 2024 competition, having placed 10th when he competed as a sophomore in 2022.

Over 12 games, Anifer scored a total of 2,616, for an average score of 221.3, per a news release.

Anifer's success marked a historical milestone for Lemont High School. His 2022 medal placement was the first in the history of the school's boys' bowling program. No other student from LHS has earned a medal in boys' bowling since.

In addition to his accolades in state competitions, Anifer was the first boys' bowler from the high school to compete at state in more than a decade.
