LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School’s Performing Arts Center will feature Music Theater International’s "SHREK The Musical" for nightly performances from Thursday through Saturday, the school shared in a release. In conjunction with the musical, the school’s Art Department will host a spring art show in Gallery 306.

Gallery 306 debuted in fall 2017 and typically hosts multiple shows each year. The spring art show will be open from 5:45-6:45 p.m. nightly from May 9-11, spotlighting a variety of work from Lemont High School students.

With the music by Jeanine Tesori, and the book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, all performances of Music Theater International’s SHREK The Musical will begin at 7 p.m., and tickets are on sale now for each performance.

All tickets are $15, and all seats in the Performing Arts Center - including the balcony and main level - are reserved seats. You can buy tickets online.

"SHREK The Musical" will be produced by Dave Nommensen, directed by Tammy Heerde, and choreographed by Jeni Donahue. Matt Doherty will head orchestral direction, while Jeremy Landig leads vocal direction and will provide accompaniment. Matt Davis will head up set design and scenic painting, and Ricky Moravecek will serve as the backstage technical supervisor. Designers for the production will include Gina Barrett (costumes), Diane Link (make-up), and Max Thalhammer (sound). Jeana Parry will serve as Box Office and Front of House manager.

"SHREK The Musical" is presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International.
