LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District has been recognized as an Exceptional Workplace by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association, according to a release from the District.

The Exceptional Workplace award is administered by IPRA to recognize agencies that demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of their employees, the park district said. Agencies undergo a voluntary evaluation process to demonstrate that they have met guidelines to provide employees with the opportunity for a well-balanced life.

The Exceptional Workplace program encompasses the six dimensions of wellness: physical activity, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and environmental, according to the release.
