LEMONT, IL — A member of the Lemont Police Department recently braved the cold in support of Special Olympics during their 2024 Polar Plunge. In total, the officers raised over $14,000.

During the March 7 event, Officer Brian Danaher jumped into an icy pool amid cheers from his peers. Danaher was recognized on the police department's social media page for having raised $855 for the annual fundraiser.
