Lemont Seeks Nominations For St. Patrick's Day Queen, King

LEMONT, IL — The Village of Lemont is seeking nominations for its St. Patrick's Day Queen, and new this year, a St. Patrick's Day King.
The queen and king will preside over the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which is set for March 8 at 1 p.m. in downtown Lemont, according to the Village.
Nomination letters must be submitted online to the Village by Feb. 5.

This contest is open to Lemont residents, high school juniors through second year college students, preferably of Irish heritage, the Village said. The candidates must demonstrate an active involvement in school service organizations and/or community service activities.
