Lemont v Hunger Aims To Prep 100K Meals For Those In Need
Lemont High School's National Honor Society plans to double the number of meals it packed in 2023.

LEMONT, IL — You might say the Lemont High School National Honor Society is ambitious. Last year, the group of students organized the first-ever Lemont v Hunger event, packing 50,000 meals for West Suburban Community Pantry. They've doubled their goal this year, planning to pack 100,000 meals for the May 11 event.
The team will join forces with Feed6, an organization that helps facilitate meal-packing events. To help bring their goal to life, the National Honor Society aims to raise $35,000, which would cover the .35 it costs to pack a single meal.
Those who want to help the cause can make a donation online. Community members can also opt to be sponsors by making donations of $75 or more.
