The Village will enforce odd-even parking regulations on Sunday and Monday. Residents should remove vehicles from Village streets, so plows can clear the snow.

Waste Management will begin its service at 5 a.m. on Friday due to the weather.

Cook County's Department of Transportation and Highways said it is monitoring conditions and has resources on standby to keep county roads safe.

“Don’t crowd the plows while they are working to clear the roads,” said Ed Tully, DoTH maintenance bureau chief. “Your best bet is to stay a safe distance behind the plow so you can drive over freshly plowed and salted roadways.”

Residents should also keep an emergency kit in their vehicles, which could include items like a shovel, windshield scraper, flashlight with extra batteries, water, snack food, matches and small candles, extra winter clothing, first aid kit, pocketknife, emergency flares, jumper cables, tow chain and blankets.
