Lemont's Little Mountain Theater Offers Kids Summer Acting Workshop

The two-week workshop is open to students between grades 2-8 beginning in June and will conclude with a performance of The Music Man Kids.

LEMONT, IL — The Little Mountain Community Theater is accepting registration for a two-week acting workshop that is being offered to Lemont-area students later this summer.

The workshop is open to students from grades 2-8 and camp participants will learn skills in teamwork, responsibility, and self-confidence while rehearsing for a production of The Music Man Kid. The workshop will be held Monday -Friday between June 27 and July 8 and will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the Lemont High School Performing Arts Center.

Singing, dancing, and acting will be an integral part of the program, which will conclude with a final performance on July 8. Space is limited for the workshop.

The cost of the workshop is $300 per student with a discounted rate of $270 being offered to additional siblings.

The Little Mountain Community Theater has been part of the community since 2013. The mission of the theater is to educate individuals of all ages and abilities and to enrich Lemont and surrounding communities with the presence of live theater.
