LHS Drama Club Welcomes Audience On Stage With Winter Play

The production of "Live Theater Unplugged" is set to run in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. nightly Feb. 6-8.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School’s Drama Club will welcome its audience on stage with a black box style production of the humorous “Live Theater Unplugged,” with nightly shows scheduled from Feb. 6 to Feb. 8, according to a release from LHS. In conjunction with the play, Lemont High School’s Art Department will host an exhibition in Gallery 306.

The production of “Live Theater Unplugged” is set to run in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. nightly. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens, and may be purchased on Lemont High School’s website, the school said. Seating is limited due to the nature of the show, and purchasing tickets in advance is encouraged. A limited number of tickets also may be purchased with cash at the door. Seating will be first come, first served.

If you ever have wondered what it is like to mount any type of theatrical production, or how casting works, or how directors handle all the moving pieces and bring them together, “Live Theater Unplugged” reveals it all, according to a release. Two one-act plays – ‘Bad Auditions by Bad Actors’ and ‘The Rehearsal’ – are complemented by a couple of musical numbers to reveal the truth, chaos and humor that go into theatrical productions.
