Pack 149 Marks Cub Scout Crossovers With Annual Blue and Gold Banquet, Birthday Celebration

More than 50 boys and their families took part in the ceremony, which was held Saturday afternoon at the new Lemont Township Community Center.

The Lemont Cub Scouts Pack 149 marked the 101st birthday of the Cub Scouts and the advancement of more than 50 boys with their annual Blue and Gold Banquet on Saturday.

The theme for this year's luncheon, which was held in the new Lemont Township Community Center at 16300 Alba St., was "Resourcefulness." As such, decorations and ceremonies promoted the idea of being environmentally conscious.

As part of the ceremonies, awards were presented to more than 50 boys who completed the required tasks or activities to advance to the next level of Cub Scouts. Additionally, eight second-year Webelos crossed over to Boy Scouts.
