Patch Picks: Fun Parks in Lemont

Fun Parks in Lemont

Bambrick Park, 1330 Smith Road

One of Lemont's newest recreation venues, Bambrick Park features baseball fields, soccer fields, a football field and open play areas. One of the most popular features at this park is the jogging track that surrounds the perimeter, offering a scenic and peaceful atmosphere for casual walkers and intense runners alike.

Brown Park, 20 E. Custer St.

A playground, gazebo and open space provide a nice area to spend time outside at for both children and adults alike. To the south is the newer section of the park, which features concrete ledges decorated with the handprints and rear-end prints of children who lived in the neighborhood at the time it was poured.

Centennial Park, 16028 W. 127th St.

Inside Centennial Park there is indoor basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, racquetball and much more. Outside of Centennial Park features tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool, several baseball and soccer fields and a skate park. Residents can also use the jogging path or stroll through the park's butterfly garden.

Central Bark, W 127th St. & Timberline Drive

The public dog park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and has two areas, one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. It hosts regularly scheduled special events like the annual 'Howlaween' Costume Party.

Hilltop Park, 690 Kruk St.

The updated jungle gym features swings, a slide and a climbing wall. To the south of the park is a big grassy area, perfect for catch, frisbee or a picnic.
