Gunshot Fired During Wedding Fight At Lemont Banquet Hall

Police said they interviewed 150 uncooperative wedding guests at the Crystal Grand Banquet Hall, where they say a brawl broke out.

LEMONT, IL — A fight in the parking lot of a Lemont banquet hall during a wedding celebration led to a gunshot being fired into the air Sunday night, police said on Monday.

Officers were called to the Crystal Grand Banquet Hall just after 8 p.m. for the report of a large fight, a police spokesman said on Monday. At one point, a gunshot was fired into the air during the altercation, which did not result in any injuries.

Despite interviewing 150 people at the wedding, investigators received very little cooperation from guests, and police said they were left with little information on what might have led to the fight. A total of 11 police units including from the Cook County Sheriff’s Department took part in the investigation, which kept officers on the scene for four hours, the Lemont Police spokesman said.
