Two D113A Schools Named Best Middle, Elementary Schools

LEMONT, IL — Old Quarry Middle School and River Valley Elementary School were both recognized on U.S. News and World Report's recent 2024 rankings of the best elementary and middle schools, District 113A said in a news release.

U.S. News and World Report evaluated schools across each state for proficiency in mathematics and reading, according to the District. The ranking formula was evenly divided: half comprised the raw test results, while the other half considered these results within the framework of socioeconomic demographics.

The top-ranked schools demonstrate high achievement, and success in effectively educating all their students, according to the District.

"These remarkable achievements reflect Lemont-Bromberek CSD 113A's ongoing commitment to fostering a nurturing and challenging learning environment for its students," the District said. "The U.S. News rankings serve as a testament to the district's dedication to providing a high-quality education that prepares students for success."
