Update: 355 Jumper Parked on Interstate, Leaped to Death: Cops

LEMONT, IL — The man who leaped to his death from an elevated section of Interstate 355 Friday afternoon was a 22-year-old from Naperville, the state police said.

The young man, Christian Muir, "was walking away from his 2008 silver Dodge vehicle, when for unknown reasons, (he) jumped over the concrete barrier wall on the right side near milepost 10.5," police said in a statement. "Due to the fall, the male subject succumbed from his injuries and died on scene."

Muir's body was reportedly found near Bluff Road.

The state police said they are still investigating Muir's death.
