Village Board to Discuss Upcoming Keepataw Days Festival
Representatives from the Keepataw Days Committee will attend the village's committee of the whole meeting Monday night to present information on the annual Labor Day festival.

The will hold its monthly committee of the whole meeting Monday to discuss the upcoming Keepataw Days Festival, electronic message centers (LED signs) and on-street disabled parking.
According to village documents, the Keepataw Days Committee will present to trustees information on the village's annual Labor Day festival, which will be held Friday, Aug. 31, through Monday, Sept. 3.
Committee President Mike Carey and Vice President Wendy Peebles have prepared an outline of the weekend, including festival times, locations and entertainment.

During the committee meeting, trustees will also discuss the village's current regulations on electronic message centers, or LED signs.
According to the agenda packet, the village has recently seen a number of variation requests for electronic signs, prompting officials to re-examine the current zoning provisions.

The village's planning and zoning commission discussed a number of changes to the Lemont Unified Development Ordinance during its June meeting, but was unable to come to an agreement on specific recommendations.
Lemont Planning and Economic Development Direcor Jim Brown will present detailed information to the village board Monday night.
Also on the agenda is a discussion on on-street disabled parking and a variation request from St. Alphonsus Church for an existing monument sign.
The village board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the , 14600 W. 127th St.
