Village of Lemont Plans Storm Debris Pickup

Public works crews will pick up tree limbs and other debris Wednesday and Thursday.

Lemont Public Works crews have planned a special pick-up for debris caused by Monday's severe weather.

Storm damage pickup will begin Wednesday morning and continue through Thursday, according to Public Works Director Ralph Pukula.

All limbs must be on the parkway by Wednesday morning.

Monday's storm caused widespread damage and power outages throughout the Chicago area. In Lemont, about 800 ComEd customers lost power throughout the village.

About 250 residents in Lemont and Lemont Township were still without power as of noon Tuesday, according to ComEd.
