The LHS Drama Club will take the stage Friday at 7 p.m. for its first fall play, The Imaginary Invalid. Written by famous French playwright Moliere, the play tells the story of Argan, a severe hypochondriac whose family begins to scheme against him. Tickets may be purchased at the door, and cost $7 for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens and students.

Friends of the Lemont Public Library are hosting their annual fall book sale from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m at the Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend St.. Hardcover books usually cost $2, while paperbacks can be purchased for $1.



The Lemont Artists Guild and the Lemont Park District are sponsoring their 16th annual Love of Art Juried Art Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Centennial Community Center, 16028 127th St. More than 40 artists will exhibit and sell paintings, ceramics, glass, jewelry, woodwork and more. Admission is free.

Franciscan Village, 1270 Village Drive, will host a fall arts and craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

The Lemont High School football team will take on Geneva at home for the second round game in the 6A regional playoffs. Kick-off is at 6 p.m.
