80-Year-Old Woman Attacked, Robbed By Duo In Lincoln Park: Cops

Chicago police released a photo of 2 suspects wanted in Tuesday's incident.

CHICAGO, IL — Police released a photo of two suspects accused of attacking and robbing an 80-year-old woman Tuesday as she was walking home in Lincoln Park. The photo, which was sent in an alert by Chicago police Wednesday, was taken from a security camera in the area. It shows two males running with one of the suspects carrying what looks to be a white purse.

According to police, the attack happened at around 5:18 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in the 1400 block of West Lill Street. The two men allegedly pushed the woman and took the purse she was carrying, police said. No information was released about whether the woman was injured in the attack.

Along with the photo, police also released a description of the pair. One suspect is described as either black or Hispanic with dark facial hair, possibly in his 20s and between 5-feet-3-inches and 5-feet-5-inches tall. The suspect was wearing a dark T-shirt, faded blue jeans and black sneakers in the incident. The other suspect is described as black, also possibly in his 20s and about 6-feet tall. He was wearing a white tank top, faded blue jeans and white sneakers in the attack, police said.
