Armed Robber Strikes 2 Stores Within Hour Overnight

Although police didn't confirm Wednesday morning that they were looking for the same suspect in two separate robberies—one in Lincoln Park the other, River North—they released an identical description of him for both cases.

Local authorities are looking for one man who they say robbed two area cashiers at gunpoint within a one-hour time frame overnight.

A Chicago Police News Affairs officer declined to link the two store robberies Wednesday morning. However, the exact same description of the culprit was released in both cases—a Hispanic man around 30 years old who was wearing dark clothing. One of the robberies was reported in Lincoln Park and the other, River North.
